Complete sawmill plant for roundwood processing

Complete operating sawmill plant built around two independent primary log-breakdown routes and a shared MSK downstream line. The sale scope includes the processing machines, material handling, chipper, complete cyclone extraction, compressor station and Drozdowski saw-maintenance equipment. A demonstration run can be arranged before dismantling.

Application and operation

System description

The offered asset is a complete sawmill plant rather than a single saw line. It combines log breakdown, cant and side-board processing, material transport, waste handling, dust extraction, compressed air and saw maintenance in one installed production system.

The plant is offered only as one complete package. Its machines share electrical control cabinets and a single software system that manages the entire line. Dividing the installation into separate machines would require substantial control and electrical reconfiguration, make recommissioning more difficult and reduce the value of the integrated production system.

The first primary breakdown route uses a J. Bögli AG vertical band saw with an 8 m LBL clamping carriage. It is intended for logs with diameters of 30–100 cm and can process logs up to 10 m long. The band saw produces cants and side boards, which are transferred by conveyors to the common downstream section. For longer material, the documentation specifies collection from the band saw by conveyors 15 and 16.

The second route was added in 2024 and uses a Skywood SD-460 twin-shaft circular log saw with a log turner and side-board separator. It processes logs with diameters of 12–46 cm and lengths of 2–5 m. The Skywood route and the Bögli route can operate in parallel or independently.

Both primary routes feed the MSK processing system built in 2018. MSK is not one machine: it is the shared downstream line comprising material handling, cant cross-cutting, an RMO 5 twin-shaft multi-rip saw, side-board cross-cutting, edging and sorting. The main MSK section is designed for material up to 5 m long.

The complete sale scope also includes an SG Strojírna chipper, the installed dust-extraction system with cyclone, a compressor station, a Drozdowski OSW-5A automatic circular-saw sharpener and a Drozdowski MP-800 automatic saw washer. This makes the offer suitable as a complete sawmill relocation project, subject to final confirmation of the commercial scope and dismantling terms.
